No credit card required · Cancel anytime · Quick one-time setup
Keep your existing business number. Your phone still rings first — Recoverly only handles the calls you miss.
One-time setup. Then Recoverly runs in the background — no new workflow to manage.
If you run a service business, you can't always stop what you're doing to answer the phone. You might be on a job, driving, meeting a customer, or working after hours.
The problem is simple: when that call gets missed, the customer may move on before you ever get a chance to call back.
Recoverly helps close that gap.
You keep your existing business number. Customers call you the same way they always have. After a quick one-time setup, Recoverly runs in the background.
Customers call your normal business number and your phone rings like it always has. Answer when you can.
If you don't answer, Recoverly texts the caller back automatically.
The customer replies with what they need, and Recoverly sends you a clear summary so you can follow up fast.
No new workflow. No extra inbox to manage. Just missed-call recovery that works in the background.

Recoverly does not answer your calls or pretend to be you.
Recoverly does not book jobs or take over your calendar.
It quietly handles missed calls in the background and gives you the details when you need them.
Recoverly is built for local service businesses that rely on phone calls as part of their intake pipeline.
That includes plumbers, contractors, cleaners, landscapers, concrete companies, mobile service businesses, charters, and other owner-operators who miss calls while they're working — plus specialty home-service shops like sink installers, countertop modification companies, and stone restoration crews.
Voicemail gets full. Messages get lost. Calls become hard to track.
Recoverly gives missed callers a simple next step and gives you a better shot at following up before they call someone else.
Free lifetime access for a limited group of early service businesses.
I'm personally onboarding a small group of service businesses while Recoverly is new. No formal feedback required — just use it normally. If something feels confusing or does not work the way you expected, tell me.
Standard pricing will be $29/month after founding access spots are filled.
Everything you need to know about missed call recovery
No, you keep your existing business number — that's still what you list everywhere. During setup we provision a dedicated Recoverly number in your local area code, and you forward your missed calls to it behind the scenes. When a caller doesn't get an answer, the text-back reply comes from that Recoverly number, so they'll see a local number on their phone — not a shortcode or toll-free line.
Recoverly is designed to work with many business phone systems that support missed-call, no-answer, or conditional call forwarding. Your phone still rings first. Recoverly only steps in when you miss the call. Setup varies by provider, and we can help confirm the right setup before anything goes live. Learn more about connecting your business phone →
Conditional call forwarding lets your normal business phone ring first. If you don't answer, the missed or unanswered call can forward to another number. Recoverly uses that missed-call handoff to text the caller and collect the details — so your phone keeps ringing the way it always has.
That's okay. A lot of small businesses inherited their phone setup from someone else and aren't sure how it's configured. During setup you can choose "Not sure" or contact us, and we'll help you figure out the best setup path. Nothing changes with your phone until setup is confirmed.
We'll help you review your options. Many business phone systems support this, but setup varies by provider — some providers support no-answer forwarding, some require a different setup, and a few may not support the exact flow Recoverly needs. If yours falls in that last bucket, we can help you find a clean workaround (for example, routing through a free Google Voice number).
Within 30-60 seconds. The moment your call forwards to us (because you didn't answer), our system detects it and sends an instant text asking if they need help. Speed is everything - customers who get a fast response don't call your competitors.
Nope. Work exactly like you do now. Answer calls when you can. When you can't (on a job, driving, with a customer), calls forward to us automatically. You get a text summary with what the customer needs. Call them back when you're free - or don't, if it's not a good fit.
Recoverly is built for local service businesses that rely on phone calls — plumbers, contractors, electricians, HVAC, cleaners, landscapers, concrete companies, locksmiths, towing, mobile service businesses, fishing charters and guides, specialty home-service shops like sink installers, countertop modification companies, and stone restoration crews, and other owner-operators who can't always answer the phone while they're working.
Recoverly has a short text exchange with the caller to capture the basics — what they need, how urgent it is, and where they're located. Usually 3–6 messages. Then you get a summary text with the details so you can follow up. The caller isn't left hanging.
If a customer dials the Recoverly number back (for example, because they saved it from the text we sent them), Recoverly routes the call straight to your business phone. Your phone rings like a normal call. If you don't answer, your phone's normal voicemail kicks in — same as any other call. No bot, no IVR, no "press 1 for..." menu. The Recoverly number is never a dead-end.
Recoverly is designed to be simple to set up. In most cases it's a quick one-time setup that uses the number you already have — we walk you through forwarding your missed calls (the standard "no-answer call forwarding" feature on most carriers) so we can text the caller back when you can't answer. Once it's in place, Recoverly runs in the background and only steps in when you miss a call. Some carriers (especially when Wi-Fi calling is on) may need a quick extra step — if that happens, we have a built-in setup helper inside your dashboard with carrier-specific guidance.
No. Recoverly only steps in after a missed call. It sends a short follow-up text, collects the basic job details, and sends you a summary. You can then call or text the customer however you normally would. There's no separate inbox to manage and no replacement for how you already talk to your customers. Read more →
Yes. You can exclude specific numbers so Recoverly does not send missed-call texts to them. This is useful for employees, vendors, family members, known spam callers, test numbers, or customers you prefer to handle personally. You stay in control of who hears from Recoverly and who doesn't.
If a number is on your excluded list, Recoverly will not send that caller an automated missed-call text. You can remove the number from the list later if you want normal missed-call follow-up to resume.
No. Recoverly does not quote prices, schedule appointments, or promise availability. It collects basic missed-call details and sends you a clean summary so you can follow up and decide what happens next. See example texts →
No. Recoverly is designed to collect basic details and pass them to you. It does not make final decisions for your business, guarantee that you accept a job, or promise that a specific service is available. You decide what to take on.
No. Your service area can help Recoverly understand the conversation, but it does not make binding promises about where you work. You still decide which jobs to accept.
Yes. You can keep basic business details up to date, such as your industry, services, and service area. This helps Recoverly understand missed callers more clearly and collect better information for you — without changing what you do or don't take on. You stay in control.
Yes — Recoverly works alongside whatever you already have. Some businesses use it as a quiet text-back layer on top of an existing answering service; others use it on its own. Either way, your phone still rings first, and Recoverly only steps in when the call gets missed.
Recoverly doesn't pretend to be you. The first text is a short, honest message asking how the caller can be helped — it sounds like a quick note from the business, not a sales pitch. Most callers just want a way to share what they need without being left on hold, and a quick text-back is a normal, expected thing to receive after a missed call.
No formal feedback is required. Founding users get free lifetime access while Recoverly is new. Just use it normally. If something feels confusing or does not work the way you expected, you can tell me and I'll use that to improve the product.
Recoverly is being personally onboarded with early service businesses, but the core product is simple: your phone rings first, and if you miss a call, Recoverly follows up by text, collects basic details, and sends you a summary. Founding access is an early-user perk, not a homework assignment.
